Project Overview
In an effort to rehabilitate and modernize aging infrastructure, reduce air pollution and health risks, reduce traffic impacts through increased use of on-dock rail, and implement aggressive environmental measures, the Port of Long Beach has undertaken a project to combine two aging container terminals into one of the world’s most technologically advanced facilities. The nine-year, $1.2 billion project will upgrade wharfs, water access and storage areas, as well as add a greatly expanded on-dock rail yard.
This nine-year project requires world-class professional services. MORGNER was hired to perform document control and engineering services for Arcadis-US as a means to meet the demands of the project. MORGNER provided diverse services including Construction Quality Assurance Management Services, Document Control Management for the Wharf/Backlands Phase 1 Stage 1 & 2. MORGNER also provided electrical inspection services for the majority of the Master Plan projects at Port of Long Beach. Additional was augmented to the prime as the project continued to develop.
