Construction Cost Estimators/ Project Managers 
(Los Angeles, CA) 

Assess feasibility of construction costs and schedules and analyze alternatives to improve construction budget, mitigate challenges, and solve problems. Conduct construction project budget, schedule development, contract administration, invoicing, and balance sheet management.  Create cost estimates, monitoring plans, proposals, quality control plans, reports, and forecasts for construction projects.  May perform additional duties that are similar and consistent with stated position requirements.

Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related field plus 2 years of experience.   Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Using visualization tools to perform data and statistical analysis and make informed decisions about process improvement, project strategies, and project timelines

  • Preparing Work Breakdown Structures during multiple phases of a construction project

  • Implementing process optimization and continuous improvement methods for construction projects, and developing and maintaining construction project schedules

  • Documenting field inspections, tests, daily reports, and material procurement traceability

  • Reviewing and approving trade contractors’ Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manuals and Quality Construction Inspection Procedures

  • Reviewing as-built drawings

  • Using BIM 360 software to manage construction design activities and generate reports 

  • Using Project Inertia software for visual and real-time tracking of construction activities and inspection requests

  • Using Procore software for construction project communication 

Domestic travel to various locations required up to 20% to meet business needs.  Telecommuting permitted no more than 10 days per month.

Salary Range: $125,000 to $135,000

Conduct construction project budget, schedule development, contract administration, invoicing, and balance sheet management.  Create cost estimates, monitoring plans, proposals, quality control plans, reports, and forecasts for construction projects.  May perform additional duties that are similar and consistent with stated position requirements. 

Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related field plus 2 years of experience.  Employer will accept paid or unpaid experience gained during university studies.  Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:

  • Controlling project costs using Sage construction management and accounting software 

  • Value engineering during buyout and pre-construction project phases to provide cost-effective solutions

  • Preparing pre-construction technical submittals, including photographic and videographic documentation   

  • Eagle io and Leica GeoMoss instrumentation data management software

  • Deploying and maintaining advanced monitoring apparatus, including wireless nodes, gateways, and automated total stations

  • Operating and interpreting noise and vibration monitoring equipment

  • Project Coordination: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle

  • Schedule Management: Developing and maintaining project schedules, identifying potential challenges, and proposing solutions to ensure timely project completion

Salary Range: $125,673 to $144,000  

Work location is Seattle, WA.  Telecommuting permitted no more than 4 days per week.
